AlF Produces New Concert Film

Charles Wesley Godwin's music has been called "cinematic country-folk" and that description perhaps best explains what has fueled the performer/songwriter's collaborations with AIF director Robert Tinnell.  "My wife, Shannon, turned me on to Seneca (Godwin's first album) and I knew I wanted to try and craft imagery worthy of Charles' powerful lyrics.  We met and settled on the song Coal Country and created a music video that we shot on location throughout West Virginia. We are both West Virginia-natives with strong family ties to coal mining - we spoke the same language and shared the same vision," said Robert.  Recently, Robert was tapped by Charles and manager Reed Turner to create a concert film capturing Godwin and his band, the Allegheny High, performing for a sold-out crowd at Stage AE in Pittsburgh, PA.  At a later date, Robert interviewed Charles for sequences that will be intercut with the concert performances.  Duncan Lightfoot and Amy Harding are editing the film, Aeyron Moore was director of photography and Jeffrey Tinnell and Jessica Bender serving as producers."I am an enormous fan of Charles' music and storytelling and I am grateful that AIF can help in some way support his talent," said Robert. Post-production on the film is nearly complete.
